The Cherokee County Republican Party will meet on Monday, May 12, 2025, at the Grand China Restaurant, 1401 E Downing St, at 6:30pm. We will eat dinner together at 5:30, and the program will begin at 6:30. Come join us in fellowship and information. Bobby “Cub” Whitewater, District 1 Cherokee County Commissioner will come to speak to the club about how county government is organized, give an overview of district boundaries, and giving our members a greater understanding of how the county government works. He will touch on a few of the projects he is most proud of and will take some questions from members as time allows.
District 1 Cherokee County Commissioner, Bobby “Cub” Whitewater
Commissioner Whitewater took office in January of 2023 and has worked tirelessly for the people in his district. Cub got his start as a teenager, working on semi-trucks. He was busy with multiple jobs throughout his history. Some include working at Camp Egan Church Camp as a Maintenance Manager for 3 years. working for Walker Trucking for 1.5 years where he learned the skill set to start his own business from his uncle, Dwight Walker. He then began and operated a trucking business of his own for 16 years. During that time he was also working in the construction industry, operating heavy equipment and was a commissioned salesman for one of the largest aftermarket semi-truck parts sales companies for 8.5 yrs. In addition to his business and work experience, Whitewater has been a volunteer firefighter and first responder for the last 12 years. He is married to his wife Lisa for 11 years and they have a blended family they are both very proud of.
The Cherokee County Republican Party meets the second Monday of every month at 6:30pm. The CCRP seeks to engage conservative, constitutional, liberty-minded citizens of Cherokee County in the political process with education and outreach. All those interested are invited to attend the club meetings, events, and activities.
